The MAEF has launched the new scheme titled Gharib Nawaz Skill Development Training from the current year 2017-18 so that short term job oriented skill development courses may be provided to minorities’ youth in order to enable them for skill based employment. The said scheme was approved by the General Body of MAEF. This scheme will be implemented as per common norms of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSD&E) through the empanelled Program Implementation Agencies (PIAs). The MAEF has allocated target of 1,06,600 beneficiaries to 108 PIAs from 31 States. Out of these 108 PIAs, the MAEF has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 82 PIAs covering 77,200 beneficiaries during the year 2017-18. The first installments are being released and training centres have started functioning after physical inspection by MAEF. The training programmes are monitored through empanelled IAs of MAEF and through a Program Monitoring Unit (PMU) set up in MAEF.

“HUNAR SE ROZGAR”

Hunar Se Rozgar is a skill development Initiative of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

The Ministry of Tourism launched a special initiative called Hunar Se Rozgar Tak (HSRT) in the year 2009-10 for creation of employable skills amongst youth. The initiative is fully funded by the Ministry of Tourism.

SALIENT FEATURES OF THE COURSE:

• The course is fully sponsored by Ministry of Tourism.
• The minimum age of candidate must be above 18 and there is no upper age limit.
• On job training is performed in hotels & Restaurants.
• Assessment will be carried out by external agency & passed out student with 80 % attendance will get stipend & certificate.
• 100% placement assistance.
